The Empire State!

Well, day 3 of our NY adventure was no less cold than day 1 and 2, and we even got some new snow:

First we went on the Staten Island Ferry to see Lady Liberty:

 Tiff and Jory also got silly along the way!

 Next we went to the Empire State Building:

We ended up going to the NBA store, where Jory was able to compare his height to Kristaps Porzingis:

The Big Apple

Day 2 of our New York trip started with meeting up with our wonderful friends Lee and Melinda. They first took us to the new Oculus building in the financial district:

Then we went up to High Line park:

 

Jory built a snow man!

After that we wandered the streets...

 Then we went down to Washington Square where Tiff went to NYU: first to the Forbidden Planets comic store...

 then to Washington Square Park...

 then to the Public Library...

New York, New York!

We're back! I have been sadly remiss about updating the blog, but there's no time like the present: we just took a family trip to New York City! Turned out to be well-timed: a day after the big blizzard, so we actually made it there and Jory was able to play in the snow!

Day 1 started at Central Park:

This quickly degenerated into fun in the snow:

We then made our way to the Natural History Museum:

Jory went to a friend's birthday today at a local pumpkin patch, and look what he ran into!

In Sacramento for Paul McCartney concert

Jory's birthday present was Paul McCartney tickets, and we drove up to Sacramento. We walked past the state Capitol to get to the stadium:
