Beach time with Daddy

Jory went to the beach most days while we were at Woods Hole, and he generally enjoyed himself immensely. Here he is, hanging out with daddy!

Eating out

Jory's been getting quite a bit of restaurant time lately. Here he's trying to decide which dosa to eat (mommy's, of course!):

And here he's working on his chopstick technique:

As you might expect, we've been leaving bigger tips lately. ;)

Woods Hole Aquarium

Last month we spent a fair amount of time at the Woods Hole Science Aquarium on Cape Cod. It's a nice little aquarium, free and within walking distance of, well, everything. Here are a few pictures of Jory enjoying the fish:

Jory carries his aloha everywhere, including Menlo Park

and Kentucky!

Yogurt et al.

Jory recently had an altercation with some yogurt. And sweet potatoes. And rice. I leave it to you to judge who won.

The yogurt dried to a paste, a la Elizabeth Tudor - and it even glued his considerable eyelashes shut.

In case you're having trouble picturing how this could have possibly occurred, check out the video evidence:

At least we know Jory enjoys eating!

(Un)rolling along

Finally! Photographic evidence that Jory is actually related to his mother!

Exhibit A, Mommy a long time ago:

Exhibits B-D, Jory last week:

Look at that smile in Figure C!

And don't tell us if you know that all babies do this ... :)

Faux-fection

Jory has gotten much more affectionate as he's developed some personality, but I'm still guilty of hoping for more baby love than is intended.

In this first picture, we seem to be having a nice cuddly moment. If you know anything about Jory, you should already be suspicious.

Here we're coming in for a kiss:

... and it turns out he's only interested in eating my necklace!

Oh, well.

En route

We've spent a lot of time in transit lately. Most of it Jory has spent about as well as can be expected. The trouble is that now he's old enough to get bored ... Which makes things tough.
