A few days ago, Jory started saying "Money, money, money!" Apparently he is a big fan of capitalism. And then he started doing this:
What are they teaching kids at daycare these days?

Jory's new tricks
Jory learned to walk backwards in the City Market in Aspen. He expects that everyone else will just clear out of his way...
He also ended up going round in circles...

Shopping in Aspen
Jory learned a new word in Aspen: "Urso" (bear), and he finally found one along the main shopping esplanade:
He also found some accessories that were very cute (but a bit outside our price range):
After shopping, Jory had some fun with Mommy at the restaurant!

Hiking around Aspen
Daddy and Jory hiked the Ute Trail with Uncle Toby
and Jory got to enjoy a banana at the top:
We also did the Grottos ice caves on the way to Independence Pass, where Jory got to see ice:
We had a picnic where Jory amused himself climbing the tree trunks
and playing with Auntie Debby:
And after the hike, Jory was happy to get back in the car!
Hanging out in Glenwood Springs
Jory, Uncle Toby, and Daddy did the Hanging Lake trail in Glenwood Springs a couple weeks ago. We were worried about Jory not having enough water, but he picked up the Camelbak pretty quickly:
The hike to the top passes lots of little streams, and Jory kept wanting to stop and throw rocks into the water.
However, Daddy convinced him to keep going until they reached the "BIG agua" at the top, which did not disappoint him:

The tree in the middle of the lake presents an ideal photo op, though it was a bit difficult to get across while holding Jory...
We also hiked behind the falls, and up above the falls to Spouting Rock:
And when we finished the hike, we went to the Glenwood Springs Brewing Company for a well deserved burger and beer for Daddy after carrying Jory around! Jory experienced his first booster seat (and a lot of ketchup, as you can see!)
