Ouch!
Jory had his first trip to the emergency room yesterday: he busted his chin open at daycare and they had to glue it shut. He was a very good boy (perhaps because they now have LED TVs that are suspended a foot from the patient's head playing Dora) and he's doing fine.

Jory in July
These photos are VERY late, but there are lots of cute ones so I figured better late than never.
Jory was born about the same time as these ducks, so we go feed them at the park all the time:
This is why we call Jory "our little monkey":
We went to Happy Hollow with Anika, Ajay, and Sai. Here's Mommy and Jory on the carousel:
and here's Jory and Anika in the ladybug ride:
And I can't remember at all what this photo was about:

Jory learns to drive
Grandpa KC got Jory an electric vehicle for his birthday... It took daddy a while to put together, and the first two times Jory used it, he tapped the "gas" pedal a couple of times and then got freaked out and got out.
But a couple days ago we decided to go for a walk... which turned into a run, since Jory got the hang of driving his car! Thanks Grandpa!

A weekend of fun
Jory and I went to the Hiller Aviation museum, where he finally wanted to sit in the 747 cockpit. According to him, he safely landed the plane near our house in Menlo Park.
I'm pretty sure this is where they kept the food carts; I was imagining the flight attendant's surprise if they opened it up to find Jory in there.
The next day Jory went to a friend's birthday party at some sort of rumpus room. He was a big fan of the ball pit...
and the construction worker theme was much appreciated!

Jory having fun
Jory got a new helmet so he could ride his bike to school, and decided he can now carry his own lunchbox!

After eating a cupcake at a birthday party with some truly terrifying frosting
Dinner at Devaki's
Tiffany and Jory went to Auntie Devaki's house while I was away last week, and Devaki took some amazing pictures of the two of them. Equally amazing was the fact that Jory's gleaming white kurta remains white.

Jory at the dentist
Jory had his first trip to the density! He did a great job staying still while "Mr. Thirsty" was in his mouth, and he got a skateboard keychain as a present for being a good boy.
San Carlos airport day
Daddy and Jory went to the plane museum on Saturday, and our attention was quickly diverted to the adjacent San Carlos airport, where they were having a family day replete with temporary tattoos, fire trucks, helicopters... and planes of course. This photo is part II in a series (scroll down to the fourth photo of the link):

Back Blog: Easter
Jory had a lot of fun around Easter this year. First, he came home from school dressed like a bunny:
I know it's tough to tell from the picture because he's giving me the stinkeye, but he looked really cute.
Then we took him to the Hiller Aviation Museum for their holiday celebration because they had lined up face painters, model trains, and the Easter Bunny, who was arriving ... by helicopter.
Jory really enjoyed the face painting. Well, the arm painting - no one ever wants to paint Jory's face. I tell myself it's because it's such a small surface.
The artist didn't mind, so Daddy got his arm painted too!
Then it was time for the main event - the flyover by the Easter Bunny in a helicopter!
As you might have expected, Jory was more interested in the helicopter than in the guy in the giant rabbit suit:
It was a busy day!

Happy Hollow: The Animals
Today I took Jory and his grandparents to Happy Hollow, a local petting zoo/regular zoo/amusement park.
Jory turned out to be terrified of goats (who knew?), so the petting zoo was a bust. We had better luck with some of the other zoo animals. The ones who were safely incarcerated.
OK, this first one is a cheat - statue:
Lemurs:
Meerkats:
And monkeys!
